About The Position
The Software Engineering Manager leads the team responsible for the core architecture, infrastructure, and shared services of our proprietary system. This role ensures the platform is scalable, secure, and adaptable to evolving business needs while also providing technical leadership, architecture guidance, and development support to other project teams. The manager oversees a cross-functional group including QA, UI/UX, and Project Management resources that support the broader development organization. This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer.Â

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define, maintain, and evolve the system’s overall architecture roadmap to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks related to the platform.
- Manage and mentor platform developers, QA, UI/UX, and project management staff.
- Coordinate the platform team’s priorities with broader organizational needs.
- Allocate platform team members to supplement other project teams when additional development capacity or expertise is needed.
- Provide architectural and technical consulting to other teams for complex features or integrations.
- Oversee QA processes and UI/UX standards across the entire development organization.
- Work closely with the CTO, product owners, and department leads to plan and execute platform initiatives.
- Balance reactive platform maintenance needs with proactive system improvements.
- Evaluate and implement new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve platform capabilities.
- Drive automation, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Lead efforts to reduce technical debt and improve developer productivity.
- Work with other engineering managers to evolve and enforce development standards, best practices, and coding guidelines for all teams, as well as foster a collaborative culture that encourages continuous improvement
Position Requirements:
- 15 or more years of relevant work experience in software engineering leadership, preferably in platform or infrastructure roles.
- Proficiency in modern development frameworks, cloud services, and DevOps practices.
- Experience managing cross-functional technical teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance technical depth with people leadership.
- SAAS Experience a plus.Â
