Rising Health Care Costs Could Take a Bigger Bite out of Workers’ Paychecks

The rise in healthcare costs for employers could have a direct impact on workers’ take-home pay in the coming years.

A survey from the Business Group on Health revealed employers project a 9.2% increase in health care costs in 2027. The increase continues a trend of actual health care expenses exceeding earlier projections.

Otto Graham, vice president of SHARx Sourcing and Rx Relations, told NewsNation that rising prescription drug costs and increased utilization are among the key drivers behind the higher expenses.
